About Phil Smith

Phil Smith is the founder, CEO, and Principal Consultant of Fractional Executive Advisors. With more than 30 years of experience at the senior leadership level across technology, professional services, manufacturing, construction, food service, and distribution, he brings deep cross-industry insight to every engagement. Phil specializes in fractional and interim executive leadership, serving clients as CEO, COO, CIO, and VP of Marketing/Product Management while guiding businesses through strategic pivots, operational improvements, and scaling initiatives. He is also passionate about coaching new executives, helping them build confidence and understand what it takes to succeed in demanding leadership roles. Known for combining a data-driven, hands-on approach with genuine partnership, Phil works closely with leadership teams and treats clients' success as his own. Outside of work, Phil and his wife Dorothy enjoy lakeside living, boating, and spending time with their daughter Claire, who is a passionate elementary school teacher. Phil also gives back through mentoring early-stage founders with Rev1 Ventures and serving community boards.
